AbstractAsatypicalindustrialcity,Linyihassufferedsevereatmosphericpollutioninrecentyears.Meanwhile,ahighincidenceofrespiratoryandcirculatorydiseaseshasbeenobservedinLinyi.TherelationshipbetweenairpollutantsandtheprevalenceofrespiratoryandcirculatorysystemdiseasesinLinyiisstillunclear,andtherefore,thereisanurgentneedtoassessthehumanhealthrisksassociatedwithairpollutants.Inthisstudy,thenumberofoutpatientvisitsandspatialdistributionofrespiratoryandcirculatorydiseaseswerefirstinvestigated.Toclarifythecorrelationbetweendiseasesandairpollutantemissions,theresidentialintakefraction(IF)ofairpollutantswascalculated.Theresultsshowedthatcirculatoryandrespiratorydiseasesaccountedfor62.32%ofthetotalcausesofdeathin.Theincidenceofrespiratorydiseaseswashighinthewinter,andoutpatientvisitswereobservedformoremales(60.9%)thanfemales(39.1%).ThespatialdistributionsuggestedthatoutpatientvisitsforrespiratoryandcirculatorydiseaseswereconcentratedinthemainurbanareaofLinyi,includingtheHedongDistrict,LanshanDistrict,andLuozhuangDistrict,andespeciallyatthejunctionofthesethreeareas.AftercalculatingtheIF
